    A. J. Appasamy and His Reading of Rāmānuja: A Comparative Study in Divine Embodiment.Brian Philip Dunn - 2016 - Oxford University Press UK.
In this work, Brian Philip Dunn focuses on the South Indian theologian A. J. Appasamy's "embodiment theology." This is the first book on Appasamy, a not insignificant Indian, Christian theologian. This study argues for the distinctive theological voice of Appasamy who develops a theology strongly influenced by the medieval Hindu theologian Ramanuja, in particular offering a reading of the Gospel of John. Dunn shows how Appasamy sees the Christian God in Ramanuja's theology and how his theology, (...)

What Becomes of the Damned.R. A. J. Shields - 2022 - TheoLogica: An International Journal for Philosophy of Religion and Philosophical Theology 8 (1).
Annihilationism provides a fruitful point of contact between philosophers and theologians for further reflection on nonexistence. In this paper I articulate a key commitment of annihilationism; namely, that some persons cease to exist. Such a commitment, I argue, amounts to the claim that some persons exist at time t and then do not exist at t+1, become ‘annihilated objects.’ Claims about annihilated objects induct the annihilationist into a wider realism/anti-realism debate about nonexistent objects. I survey some major viewpoints in this (...)

Cambridge Geographical Text Books: Intermediate.A. J. Dicks - 2013 - Cambridge University Press.
First published in 1912, and originally intended as a textbook for students in secondary school, this book gives an overview of the human and physical geography of the occupied areas of the earth's surface. The text is richly illustrated with diagrams, tables, and contemporary photographs of places of interest. Although in general Dicks manages to rise above the colonial viewpoint prevalent at the time, certain aspects of the text are reflective of racial attitudes during this period of the twentieth century. William Eden and Leniency in Punishment.A. J. Draper - 2001 - History of Political Thought 22 (1):106-130.
The distinctive role played by William Eden in the penal reform debate of the late eighteenth century is examined and his emphasis on leniency in the exercise of punishment is identified. Eden is found to have introduced the notion of ‘public virtue’ into a rights theory paradigm and the implications of this development are explored. Eden's contribution to English penal theory is illustrated by a comparison of his position with those of other leading theorists of the period, and the extent (...)

    USP7/HAUSP: A SUMO deubiquitinase at the heart of DNA replication.Veronique A. J. Smits & Raimundo Freire - 2016 - Bioessays 38 (9):863-868.
DNA replication is both highly conserved and controlled. Problematic DNA replication can lead to genomic instability and therefore carcinogenesis. Numerous mechanisms work together to achieve this tight control and increasing evidence suggests that post‐translational modifications (phosphorylation, ubiquitination, SUMOylation) of DNA replication proteins play a pivotal role in this process. Here we discuss such modifications in the light of a recent article that describes a novel role for the deubiquitinase (DUB) USP7/HAUSP in the control of DNA replication. USP7 achieves this function (...)

Upshot: In reading the commentaries, we were struck by the fact that all of them were in some capacity related to what we consider a core principle of radical constructivism - interaction. We characterize interaction from a radical constructivist perspective, and then discuss how the authors of the commentaries address one kind of interaction.
